About Me

I started out a horse crazy little girl, asking for a pony or a horse for every Christmas and birthday. I just wanted what Alec Ramsey had with the Black in "The Black Stallion". I did not have my own horse, but I went to my very first riding lesson at 9 years old, and it was a dream come true. I didn't ride again until I was 14 -still no horse of my own-, but I was hooked! Through the ups and downs of life I have fought for every inch of horse experience I have. I have worked with rescues, saved a auction bound mare, picked up a few "problem" horses along the way, solved several dangerous issues like rearing, bucking, bolting, kicking, biting, flipping over, and helped several horses with the not as dangerous, but common issues of not leading, not trailer loading, not clipping, not tying, not picking up feet, and the list goes on!
I founded Twilite Equine in 2009, after seeking harmony with my own horses, I soon came to realize that I wanted to help more than just my own horses. I wanted to help horses and their owners from all over find the relationship and joy they want with the equine partner.  It is my passion to change the horse-world for the better by helping one horse and owner at a time.
I have helped many "problem" horses find peace in the past; including working with horses that were deemed "dangerous" and "explosive". I have had a traumatic riding experience that led to years of overcoming riding fear, and subsequently, training in fear management techniques and N.L.P. (neuro-linguistic processing) to re-train my brain and overcome that fear!
I hope to help riders and their horses find peace in their own selves and harmony in their relationship together. My services are professional and involve close collaborations with leading veterinarians and equine chiropractors as needed.
I am a devoted wife and mother and forever a student of the horse.
